M3000 Electromagnetic Flowmeter
The innovative design of the Badger Meter® ModMAG® M3000 meter represents the next generation of electromagnetic flow meter technology. Incorporating the latest developments in microprocessing signal conditioning the advanced design of the M3000 meter allows an accuracy ± 0.20% with a flow range of 300:1. Targeted to a variety of oil and gas, industrial and municipal applications, the M3000 meter is virtually unaffected by density, temperature, pressure, and viscosity changes and provides an accurate and reliable long term metering solution. This meter complies with ANSI/NSF Standard 61, Annex G.
- High Accuracy: Provides high accuracy of ±0.20% (or ±0.25% depending on specific configuration) of the measured value with excellent repeatability.
- No Pressure Loss: The non-intrusive, open flow tube design ensures there is no pressure loss, which helps lower operational costs.
- Versatile Application: The meter is virtually unaffected by changes in fluid density, temperature, pressure, and viscosity, making it suitable for a variety of challenging liquids and slurries.
- Durable Construction: It features corrosion-resistant liners (PTFE, PFA, Halar, hard rubber options) and a robust NEMA 4X/6P (IP66/IP67) enclosure for long life.
- Bi-directional Flow Sensing: The meter is capable of sensing and totalizing flow in both directions.
- Water & Wastewater: Measures customer water usage, HVAC systems, and wastewater treatment; ANSI/NSF Standard 61, Annex G compliant.
- Oil & Gas: Suitable for refining, chemical, and petrochemical process monitoring.
- Industrial Processes: Ideal for general industrial monitoring, property operations, and chemical industries.
- Agriculture: Monitors large-scale water usage for irrigation.
- Sizes: 1/4 to 24 in. (6 to 600 mm)
- Accuracy: ±0.20% of measured value
- Flow Range: 0.10 to 39.4 ft/s (0.03 to 12 m/s); turndown ratio 300:1
- Repeatability: Better than 0.1%
- Fluid Conductivity: Minimum 5 µS/cm
- Fluid Temperature: Up to 248°F (120°C) with remote amplifier (depends on liner material)
- Max Pressure: Typically 150 psi (varies by flange rating)
- Power Supply: 85–240 V AC or 24 V DC
- Enclosure: NEMA 4X/6P (IP66/IP67)
- Mounting Options: Meter-mounted or remote-mounted amplifier (up to 100 ft away)
