- Pressure Transient Detection The device samples pressure at a high rate (128 times per second) to detect and analyze sudden, potentially damaging, pressure spikes or drops (transients).
- Burst Alarming and Locating It provides immediate email and SMS alerts for burst events, allowing for rapid response to minimize damage and water loss. When multiple units are used, the location of the burst can be triangulated.
- Network Calming and Leakage Reduction By understanding and mitigating pressure transients, the device helps “calm” the network, which reduces pipeline fatigue, lowers break rates, and extends the asset life of the water infrastructure.
