SNOW TEMPERATURE SENSOR (PT100)

RELIABLE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT IN THE SNOW

The snow temperature sensor (Pt100) is a highly durable platinum resistance temperature detector type Pt100. It detects the snow temperature reliably and exactly.

Highly durable platinum resistance temperature detector type Pt100 with four-wire circuitry for installation in a radiation-protected environment. The sensor can be applied in a number of different ways, whenever a very exact temperature measurement is required. The measurement range lies between -50°C and +200°C. The sensor can be easily integrated into existing measuring systems.

  • Sensing Technology: Uses a durable Pt100 platinum RTD element (100 Ω at 0°C) for high precision and stability.
  • Application: Measures temperature within snow and ground layers to create an accurate snowpack temperature profile.
  • Wiring: Equipped with 4-wire circuitry for cable resistance compensation and high accuracy over long distances.
  • Measurement Range: Typically spans from –50°C to +200°C.
  • Durability: Built for long-term operation in harsh, moist, and extremely cold environments.
