The ATEX directive consists of two EU directives describing what equipment and work space is allowed in an environment with an explosive atmosphere. ATEX derives its name from the French title of the 94/9/EC directive: Appareils destinés à être utilisés en ATmosphères EXplosives.

The ROW ATEX EXD oil detector is encased in a flameproof (explosion-proof) enclosure made from 316 stainless steel, making it ideal for the toughest environments. The whole system is certified ATEX/IECEx by DNV Presafe for Zone 1 installations.
LDI, including our entire manufacturing process, our suppliers, and instrument model itself are fully certified by DNV Presafe for ATEX equipment manufacturing.
